Lash extension aftercare
We're so excited to have you as a client, and we want to make sure you get the most out of your lash extensions. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
Clean your lashes like a boss
We're not kidding when we say that washing your lashes is one of the most crucial aftercare instructions. Dirty lashes can cause bad retention, so make sure you're using a lash-approved shampoo (like the amazing Prolong, which we stock in-store) to keep your lashes squeaky clean. And don't forget to wash your lashes before your appointment, or come 5-10 minutes early to use our wash station provided.
No oil, no problem
We don't want to see your lashes sliding off, so avoid using oil-based products and oily makeup removers. If you're not sure which products are safe, don't worry - we've got you covered with lash extension safe eyeliner and makeup remover in our salon.
Mascara? Nah, Girl!
We know it can be tempting to add a little extra oomph to your lashes with mascara, but trust us - it's not worth it. Mascara and crayon/gel eyeliners can be a pain to remove, and they can cause poor retention. If you're feeling like you need a little extra va-va-voom, talk to us about going up to a fuller set or booking extra time with your infills.
Stay on top of your lash game
To keep your lashes looking their best, we recommend booking your infill appointment every 2-3 weeks. If you wait longer than 3 weeks, we'll have to spend more time removing grown-out lashes and less time applying new ones, and nobody wants that. Plus, please note that for an infill, at least 40% of your extensions need to still be attached.
That's it - easy peasy, right? If you have any questions or need any help, just let us know. We're always here for you, and we can't wait to see your gorgeous lashes!
Lip Blushing Aftercare
Congratulations on your beautiful new lip blush! We know you're excited to show it off, and we want to help you make the most of your semi-permanent cosmetic procedure. Here are some tips to keep in mind for the best possible results:
Keep them clean
For the first three hours after your lip blush procedure, gently wipe the area with provided water wipes every 30 minutes to remove any excess fluids. After wiping, apply the provided aftercare cream to keep your lips moisturized and hydrated. Make sure to avoid touching the area with dirty hands or exposing it to any dirty surfaces.
Protect your pout
Once your lips have healed, it's important to protect them from the sun to prevent colour fading. Apply a lip balm with SPF or use a sunscreen specifically designed for lips. This will help keep your lip blush looking fresh and beautiful for longer.
Skip the sweat
We know you love to hit the gym and stay active, but it's best to avoid any strenuous exercise on the day of your procedure. This will help minimise swelling and prevent any excess sweating that could affect your healing process.
Watch What You Eat
It's important to avoid hot, spicy, or acidic foods for the first few days after your procedure. These can irritate your lips and affect the healing process. Stick to cool, soft foods and liquids, and use a spoon or fork to eat whenever possible.
No Smoking or Vaping
Smoking and vaping can really put a damper on your new lip blush. These activities can slow down the healing process and cause the colour to fade faster. So, give yourself a break and avoid smoking or vaping for at least 48 hours after your procedure.
No Picking or Peeling
We have the utmost faith in our aftercare instructions, and we believe that you're going to breeze through the healing process like a pro! But, just in case your lips decide to rebel and start peeling, please don't panic.
We repeat: Do NOT pick or peel at any scabs or dry skin that may form on your lips during the healing process. This can affect the colour and even cause scarring.
By following these simple aftercare instructions, you'll be on your way to having beautiful, long-lasting lip colour that you'll love! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to support you every step of the way.
